Nikko G Nib - Tin / Matte Plated met Reservoir
New tin / matt plated version with reservoir of flagship Nikko G nib! Handcut, tin plated and very smooth. The biggest advantage of Nikko G is user-friendliness - we recommend it for beginner calligraphers and also for advanced ones. Due to the size and shape it can be easily put in pen holder. New matt Nikko G nib can draw thinner lines than standard Nikko G. It's flexible so we can get a sharp contrast between thick and thin lines.
Thanks to the reservoir, the nib holds much more ink, so you can write longer with one dipping.
We asked for a review of new mat Nikko G nib one of the best calligraphers in Poland. Here is what she wrote:
Aleksandra Ćwikowska | Nibme: "Calligrafun is the first shop in Europe with this gorgeous nib. For several days I had the opportunity to test it, a tin plated matte Nikko G nib. The first surprise was how long the ink lasts on it (matt surface), the ink stays much longer than on a regular nib. Incredibly sharp, it allows you to get a very, very thin line - that is what every calligrapher tries to achieve in copperplate. Despite its sharpness, it didn't get stuck in the paper. Only on bad quality paper it sometimes collects single fibers of the paper. This nib is very easy to use. All thin lines are much easier to make, you can make them more freely. This nib even masks the writer's shaking hand. It forgives a lot. In general, this nib is hard. So it is suitable for beginners. Despite its hardness, it can be used to achieve high contrast between thin and thick lines. It's comfortable to write with it even very small letters, it is extremely precise.
Ink flows from it continuously, I can write with it much faster and freer than with most of the nibs I know.
The enjoyment of writing is enormous, but watch out, this nib is addictive!
It became one of my favorite nibs. Another calligraphic must have!".
